American Family Association Praises Pro-Life Ruling in Arkansas
TUPELO, Miss.—A federal appeals court panel ruled today that Arkansas can block Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood, reported the Associated Press and WTOP. Today’s ruling vacates other injunctions that prevented the state from suspending any Medicaid payments for services rendered to patients from the national largest abortion provider.
The American Family Association (AFA, www.afa.net) praised this action as an important protection for unborn babies.
“The American Family Association is pleased to hear that the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled in favor of the state of Arkansas blocking Medicaid funds to abortion providers like Planned Parenthood,” said AFA President Tim Wildmon. “Abortion is murder, a gruesome act, and any organization that performs such an act is unworthy of taxpayer dollars.”
