American Family Association Launches New Show with Host Walker Wildmon: “AFA at the Core”

TUPELO, Miss. —The American Family Association (AFA, www.afa.net) announces a new program on the American Family Radio Network (AFR, afr.net). Walker Wildmon, AFA’s Vice President of Operations and Public Policy Analyst, will be hosting a new show on AFR called “AFA at the Core.” The program will highlight issues of the day and apply the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of the American Family Association.  

“We have a track record of motivating and activating Christians to get involved, and we will continue that work on ‘AFA at the Core,’” said Wildmon. “Forty years is a long time to stand for anything. Standing for America and America’s families has never been more vital. We intend to keep pointing people to Christ and exposing the darkness that comes against the family.”

 “AFA at the Core” will debut Saturday, May 8, replacing Walker Wildmon’s current weekly program, “Exposing Washington.” “AFA at the Core” will air Saturdays from 3-4 p.m. Central.

 Walker Wildmon and “AFA at the Core” will focus on those values that have framed every part of AFA from its inception: evangelism and discipleship, marriage and family, morality, sanctity of human life, stewardship, and religious liberty.

 “You can expect to hear those themes woven throughout each week’s broadcast,” said Wildmon. “I believe people will find exactly what their family needs at the time they most need it. Not many organizations can bring 40 years of experience and insight to a program. We’re excited to join with the millions of people who have aligned with AFA and continue to change our culture, our churches, and our nation, one individual and one family at a time.”
