Monday

Jesus Is

"I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One (Revelation 1:8 NLT).
It is all about Jesus. As one of my biker ministry brothers likes to say...You don't need to believe me, just believe God!

Dear Lord, let the lost hear and the blind see, that You are God of all. Amen.

Tuesday

The Uphill Battle Without God

You can make many plans, but the Lord ’s purpose will prevail (Proverbs 19:21 NLT).
Making plans for our lives is a good thing, a needed thing, but we must ask God to be in the middle of those plans. If we eliminate Him from our plans and desires, we will always be fighting an uphill battle.

Why not ask God to direct your thoughts on what He wants you to do? Pray about it and wait for clarity when making big decisions.

I have personally been on both sides of doing this, my way vs. God's way. Believe me, His way is so much better.

Lord God, we pray for Your direction in our lives. Help us always ask You before we set out on our own. We ask in the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Wednesday

Your House

“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock” (Matthew 7:24 NLT).

Where have you built your "house"? I'm asking because it has eternal consequences.

Father God, help us build our "homes" on Your solid ground. We ask in the mighty name Jesus, who is that solid Rock. Amen.

Thursday

Let Freedom Ring

For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17 NLT).

Experience real freedom! That freedom is in the Lord! Give your heart to Him. Trust in Him and have faith that He is who He says He is.

Dear Lord, when we are in the midst of the valley, let us hold on to Your hope. Help us continue to look upon You for all of our needs. Let us not be in fear but be comforted and protected by Your rod and staff. Lead us today, Lord God, so that we can traverse this valley, emerging into Your bright SonShine. Help us to see You and how you are doing amazing things in our times of need. It is in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Friday

Are We Too Busy?

And this righteousness will bring peace. Yes, it will bring quietness and confidence forever (Isaiah 32:17 NLT).

In our crazy and busy lives, we need to sit down and take a deep breath. We get so busy, we forget the peace that God offers us. We forget that He tells us to come and rest in Him.

Folks, if we keep God first, life gets much more manageable. Not that life will be easy, but with Him first, we can deal much better with the junk in our lives. Not only that but when we trust and put our hope in Him, we also have the comfort of knowing our eternity is secure. Now that is real peace. Thank You, Jesus!

Lord God, help us to relax, take a deep breath, and enter Your holy court of peace. In Christ's name we pray. Amen.

Saturday

Ultimate Victory

For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God (1 John 5:4, 5 NLT).
Victory is ours, by the power of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Lord God, we praise you for the ultimate and final victory. We pray for our faith to be strong and our devotion to You resolute. Help us to fight the good fight and keep our eyes focused on You. Thank You, Lord God! Amen!

Sunday

Your Golden Calf

The LORD told Moses, “Quick! Go down the mountain! Your people whom you brought from the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves. How quickly they have turned away from the way I commanded them to live! They have melted down gold and made a calf, and they have bowed down and sacrificed to it. They are saying, ‘These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you out of the land of Egypt” (Exodus 32:7-8 NLT).
Have you built your own golden calf to worship? What is that idol that you have built? Is it worldly morals, instead of God's morals?

It seems that people with a "new" set of morals have abandoned Gods morals and are calling their sin, the new morality, in which, everyone should approve. All these new morals are just another golden calf to worship.

Idols come in many forms. One of those idols could be a government that provides sustenance that isn't worked for - "free stuff." Or that idol could be fundamentally changing our nation, one illegal law at a time.

We must stand strong on Gods morals and His word. If we don't, God will let us reap what we sew.

Dear Lord, forgive us for not standing up for Your truth when we need to stand firm. Help us stand firm in love and not hate. Lead us to be strong in our faith. We pray in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
