Life Is But A Vapor

A voice said, “Shout!”
I asked, “What should I shout?”
“Shout that people are like the grass.
Their beauty fades as quickly
as the flowers in a field.
The grass withers and the flowers fade
beneath the breath of the Lord.
And so it is with people.
The grass withers and the flowers fade,
but the word of our God stands forever” (Isaiah 40:6-8 NLT).

Everything in this world will pass away.   Everything.  We are but a mere vapor — a mist – one day here, the next gone.  It's up to each of us on where we spend our eternity.  God's word is clear.  We have the on "free will" to choose.  I pray that you will choose wisely.

Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Him.  God's word is perfect and true.  Thanks be to God for saving those that come to His light.

Father, I pray that many people will be saved today.  I thank You for what Your Son did on the cross.  Thank You Father God for loving us, far more than we deserve.  I give thanks and pray in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus.  Amen.

Tuesday

Our God Is Mighty

O God, your ways are holy.
Is there any god as mighty as you?
You are the God of great wonders!
You demonstrate your awesome power among the nations.
By your strong arm, you redeemed your people,
the descendants of Jacob and Joseph.
When the Red Sea saw you, O God,
its waters looked and trembled!
The sea quaked to its very depths.
The clouds poured down rain;
the thunder rumbled in the sky.
Your arrows of lightning flashed.
Your thunder roared from the whirlwind;
the lightning lit up the world!
The earth trembled and shook.
Your road led through the sea,
your pathway through the mighty waters—
a pathway no one knew was there!
You led your people along that road like a flock of sheep,
with Moses and Aaron as their shepherds (Psalm 77:13-20 NLT).

Lord, when we need You the most, You are there.  You will lead us across the raging rivers of our lives, IF we will let you lead us.  Lord, let us be open to Your instruction and direction for our lives.  Let us, Father God, search for You and what You want for us.

Lord, what you want for us may be far different than what we want for ourselves.  Father God, lead us and let us be willing to follow You.

Dear Lord, Your will, nothing more; nothing less; nothing else.  Amen.

Wednesday

IF ...

God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through [Jesus] (1 John 4:9 NLT).

If God didn't love us, He wouldn't have sent His Son to die for us.

Lord God, thank You for leaving Your throne and coming into our world to save us from ourselves.  We praise Your Holy Name.  Amen.

Thursday

Stop Looking Over Your Shoulder

My old self has been crucified with Christ.  It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.  So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:20 NLT).

Folks, do you want to stop looking behind you? Are you continually looking in the rear-view mirror and re-living your past? Is it time to move on and put your attic full of junk behind you?

There is only One Way.  That One Way is accepting Jesus and let your past be crucified on the Cross.  All the past is forgotten and the new life springs forth.  This new life is offered to all who accept Christ and repent from their sin.

It is just that simple.  It's the free gift that cost Christ his all.  He died for you.

Put the past in the grave and look to what God has to offer you.  It's time, right now, today.

Father God, thank You for Your love, mercy and grace.  Help the lost find the new life that You offer.  Help them to move away from the pain of the past.  Lord, we love You and need You today more than ever before.  It is in the mighty name of Jesus we ask and pray.  Amen.

Friday

Resist Temptation

If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall.  The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience.  And God is faithful.  He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand.  When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure (1 Corinthians 10:12-13 NLT).

Temptation is part of our daily walk as long as we are in this broken world.  We must never think we can't be sucked into the temptation of sin.  We are broken, human creatures.  But with Christ at the center of our lives and in our hearts, we have victory over sin.  God always gives us a way to avoid the devils tricks.

Stand strong and remember, even the best man or woman can fall into temptation's grasp.  Stay strong in Christ.

Dear Lord, give us Your power to fight temptation.  We ask in the mighty name of Jesus.  Amen.

Saturday

Carried, Never Abandoned

Praise the Lord; praise God our savior!  For each day he carries us in his arms  (Psalms 68:19 NLT).

We can't, but our God can.  When life seems impossible to deal with, we should look to see if we are trying to go through it alone.  We should ask ourselves if we have asked God to take the "wheel."  God will carry us through the "valley," if we invite Him to help.

Thank You Lord, Amen!!!

Sunday

Come into The Light

Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world.  If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life” (John 8:12 NLT).

Why are you continuing to stumble and fall in the darkness, when The Light of the world is available to you?

Dear Lord, this world is lost and spinning out of control.  Lord, please open the eyes of the lost so that they might come out of the darkness and see Your light.  We pray that the lost be saved, in the mighty name of Jesus.  Amen.
