Monday

Blessed by Grace

This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins (1 John 4:10 NLT).

By God's mercy, grace and love, we are new creatures.

Dear Lord, thank You! Amen!

Tuesday

He Calls Us Worthy

Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross (Philippians 2:7, 8 NLT).

Obedience- Jesus showed us ultimate obedience to His Father by allowing Himself to be crucified on the cross. At any time He could have stopped the sacrifice but He knew this was the cup that He must drink so that the each of us might be saved by His sacrifice. By faith, we are saved through His grace.

Lord God, many times we take salvation too lightly. We don't think about what it cost you. Lord, let us to never forget that You died for us. Not only did you die for us, but you also suffered a horrible, torturous death. Lord, You could have rejected the cup of suffering and by that rejected us. But You didn't. Thank You, Lord Jesus! Let us never forget or just diminish Your sacrifice. We are so undeserving but You call us worthy. We praise You, We worship You, Lord! It's in Your mighty name we pray. Amen.

Wednesday

Hide and Seek

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today (Matthew 6:33-34 NLT).

God doesn't hide from those who seek Him. In fact, His blessings are poured out on those who seek to find Him and those who attempt to live righteously, according to His Word. God doesn't hold back from supplying the needs of His children.

So, today's question is, Why are you holding back from giving your lives, hearts, and souls to God?

Lord God, help us to trust in You. You are God. Thank you, Lord, for loving us. Amen and amen.

Thursday

They Hated Jesus First

We serve God whether people honor us or despise us, whether they slander us or praise us. We are honest, but they call us impostors (2 Corinthians 6:8 NLT).

In today's politically correct environment people are going to hate you and make up lies and deception regarding God's truth. Are you going honor God or man? Who are you willing to please?

Dear Lord, give us the strength to stand firm in Your truth. Help us to never waiver. Lead us beside Your still waters when we are under attack and use Your rod and staff to guide us and protect us. I ask and pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Friday

God Commands Us

This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9 NLT).

We all have battles to face in our lives. Some battles seem endless. Some are skirmishes but some are sieges. No matter the battle, go into it knowing that God is with you.

Father God, pull us through our current battle. We are trusting in You for Your divine help. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior. Amen.

Saturday

Reign Us In, Lord

Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted. Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good (Titus 1:15-16 (NLT).

Where are you walking? Are you walking down a path full of mud and muck? A path of destruction? Or are you walking the path that Jesus has laid out for you?

In the past, I have posted about being a "fruit examiner" of other people’s lives. That "fruit examination" should also be applied to our own lives. Are you claiming to be something that you're not? Are you claiming to know Christ by only head knowledge of Him or do you truly know Him in your heart? Tough questions but questions we should deal with and sincerely ask ourselves.

Lord, help each of us search our hearts to see what fruit we are producing. Lord, be honest with us about how our “walk” with you is going. Father God, reign us in if we have drifted away from Your desire for our lives. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Sunday

Denying God and His Word

For we were not making up clever stories when we told you about the powerful coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We saw his majestic splendor with our own eyes when he received honor and glory from God the Father. The voice from the majestic glory of God said to him, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.” We ourselves heard that voice from heaven when we were with him on the holy mountain. Because of that experience, we have even greater confidence in the message proclaimed by the prophets. You must pay close attention to what they wrote, for their words are like a lamp shining in a dark place—until the Day dawns, and Christ the Morning Star shines in your hearts (2 Peter 1:16-19 NLT).

Those who deny God and His Word have hate for truth and also for God. His Word is infallible and perfect. He gave us His Word so that we would have a roadmap for life.

There are many historical and proven first-hand accounts of God's miraculous events. His Word is not just stories or fairy tales. The Bible is God's very own account from the beginning to end of all creation. Our Father ordained His Bible for our benefit, it is truth. As a good friend says, "do not doubt this book".

Many of the anointed writers personally witnessed God's hand as He did miraculous things on earth. Many witnessed Jesus as He walked this earth and without a doubt, knew He is the Son of God. He is the Messiah.

Don't let the unbelievers sway your belief. Stand firm.

I am still amazed at how an atheist, who hates God, can say in her next breath, she doesn’t believe in Him. How can you hate something that you don't believe in?

Lord God, I thank You for Your Word and Your never-ending love. Amen.
