Worry, Trouble, & Heartache

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you (1 Peter 5:7 NLT).

What are you doing holding all that worry and heartache all inside you? Let God have it. Give it to Him. He loves you more than we can ever understand. Give Him your pain and troubles, after all, there are not any problems bigger than Him!

Dear Lord, we give you our worries and our troubles today. I pray that you will take them and put them under Your feet. Lord, give us faith that You are in charge and You are the King of all things. May You give us peace through our trials and tribulations. We ask and pray in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Tuesday

Our Gracious and Majestic Lord

O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!
Your glory is higher than the heavens.

You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your enemies and all who oppose you.

When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers — the moon and the stars you set in place —
what are mere mortals that you should think about them,
human beings that you should care for them?

Yet you made them only a little lower than God
and crowned them with glory and honor.

You gave them charge of everything you made,
putting all things under their authority —
the flocks and the herds and all the wild animals,
the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that swims the ocean currents.

O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth! (Psalm 8:1-9 NLT)

Our God is bigger than we can ever imagine or understand. He, the One who formed the heavens, placed the stars, and is the Creator of all things, is the God who loves us. Yes, He loves each of us.

Our God loves us so much that He created us and gave us a place, just below Himself. He has crowned us with His love, mercy, and grace. He gave us control and authority over all of His earthly creation. This is our God.

Father God, thank You for creating each of us in Your own image. Lord, help us to live a life that glorifies how great You are. Help us, Lord, by Your Holy Spirit, so that we might have discernment and knowledge to be the best person that we can be. Help us to reach out to the lost and the down-trodden. Help us to be a loyal follower of You and Your word. Lead us today into the green pastures of life. We ask and pray in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.

Wednesday

Busyness

And this righteousness will bring peace. Yes, it will bring quietness and confidence forever (Isaiah 32:17 NLT).

The definition of busyness is:
    1. the quality or condition of being busy.
    2. lively but meaningless activity.

In our crazy and busy lives, we just need to sit down and take a deep breath. We get so busy, we forget the peace that God offers us. We forget that He tells us to come and rest in Him.

Folks, if we keep God first, life gets much more manageable. Not that life will be easy, but with Him first, we can deal much better with the junk in our lives. Not only that but when we trust and put our hope in Him, we also have the comfort of knowing our eternity is secure. Now that is real peace. Thank You, Jesus!

Lord God, help us to relax, take a deep breath and enter Your Holy Court of Peace. In Christ's name, we pray. Amen.

Thursday

Let Freedom Ring

For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17 NLT).

Experience real freedom!! That freedom is in the Lord!! Give your heart to Him. Trust in Him and have faith that He is who He says He is. He stated I AM!

Dear Lord, when we are in the midst of the valley, let us hold on to Your hope. Help us to continue to look upon You for all of our needs. Let us not be in fear but be comforted and protected by Your rod and staff. Lead us today, Lord God, so that we can traverse this valley, emerging into Your bright SonShine. Help us to see You and how you are doing amazing things in our times of need. It is in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Friday

A Prayer of King David

In times of trouble, may the Lord answer your cry.
May the name of the God of Jacob keep you safe from all harm.
May he send you help from his sanctuary and strengthen you from Jerusalem.
May he remember all your gifts and look favorably on your burnt offerings.
May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed.
May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory and raise a victory banner in the name of our God. May the Lord answer all your prayers.
Now I know that the Lord rescues his anointed king. He will answer him from his holy heaven and rescue him by his great power.
Some nations boast of their chariots and horses, but we boast in the name of the Lord our God.
Those nations will fall down and collapse, but we will rise up and stand firm.
Give victory to our king, O Lord!
Answer our cry for help (Psalm 20:1-9 NLT).

My prayer for each of you today – May Our God, Yahweh, Creator of all things, grant you comfort, peace, and mercy in your times of need. Amen.

Saturday

Struggling with Faith

I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance (Ephesians 1:18 NLT).

For those of you that might read this that are struggling with accepting Christ and for those that are struggling in your faith or your ability to trust in the unseen God, I pray that each of you will just look around and see all that God has made. Look at a tree, a leaf or a blade of grass. It didn't just happen, God created it. Open your eyes, and let His light shine into your soul.

Jesus Christ died for each of us. God raised Him to new life so that we too might be raised to eternal life with Him. It is a glorious promise and fact from a loving God.

Dear Lord, bring Your sheep to You. I ask and pray in Your mighty name. Amen.

Sunday

God's Grace Is to Be Lived Daily

God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant. So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 5:20-21 NLT).

Every morning before our feet hit the floor, we should thank God for His amazing grace. Only by His grace might we be saved from an eternity of separation from Him and anything good. With His grace and by our faith, we are assured eternal freedom and total peace in Heaven with Him.

Dear Lord, thank You for loving us so much to come to earth and walk in our shoes. Lord, you know the temptations we face. You faced temptations and never succumbed, we face temptation and fail daily. Lord thank You for knowing how flawed we are and are still willing to save us from ourselves. You come to us as we are but never leave us as we are. Thank you Jesus, and it's in Your mighty name and by the power of the Holy Spirit we pray and give thanks. Amen.
