One week ago, the country headed in a new direction, as Americans flocked to the polls to voice their dissatisfaction with current leadership and speak up for change.
American Family Association (www.afa.net) and its division AFA Action (www.afaaction.net) were instrumental in educating voters about their choices of candidates and where these candidates stand on the pressing issues impacting the nation.
AFA says that as a long-overdue political shift takes place, the confirmation—or rejection—of judicial nominees is critical.
"The newly elected Republican majority in the Senate must oppose every single radical judicial nominee that President Obama brings before them," said AFA President Tim Wildmon. "We've seen the damage that has been done by judges who have no regard for the Constitution, the rule of law, and the democratic process, and we call on this next Senate to put an immediate halt on endorsing nominees who refuse to abide by the Constitution."
"We also urge the majority to question the President’s next nominee for U.S. Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, particularly regarding her view on whether the President can declare amnesty by executive fiat. We need an Attorney General who will be bound by the law and the Constitution, and the country deserves to know if Ms. Lynch is qualified on that count."
