Following the June 26 Supreme Court decision upholding gay marriage in all 50 states, Christian leaders have responded in primarily two different ways. Either by saying, we should respond in love or that we should act in civil disobedience. I would suggests both. Now that the raw emotions have somewhat settled I want to look at what one particular Christian leader said. "We need to accept it, many of our neighbors are not going to agree with us on the definition of marriage." This Christian leader seems to be under the illusion that gay marriage was and is the will of the American people. The implication he made was that Christians are in the minority on the issue of marriage. This is not the case. It was 5 judges that unconstitutionally created and passed a law affirming same sex marriage. This is unconstitutional because Judges are suppose to interpret the Law not create it.
I do believe that even though the judges acted on behalf of their own agenda it is still a very dark day for America and her biblical historical heritage. God forgive them because they don't realize the eternal damage their decision will have on the family and mankind.
With a sad heart, I am going to move on to my main point. "We need to accept it, many of our neighbors are not going to agree with us on the definition of marriage" said the Christian leader. I would like to remind that leader and anyone else interested of just what "We the People" decided between 1998-2012. When marriage was put on state ballots here is what the "people" decided. "Yes" was defining marriage as between one man and one woman. "No" was voting against it.

I understand that it is not likely that everyone will agree on the issue of gay marriage. But in this case, regardless of religion, Americans overwhelmingly vote to to uphold the biblical definition of marriage. So instead of "many neighbors will not agree with you", actually most of your neighbors will agree that marriage is between one man and one woman. Eighty six percent of neighbors in MS, 81% of neighbors in TN, 81% of neighbors in AL, and over 70% of neighbors in SC, TX, KY, GA, AR, LA, KS, OK, ND, MO, NE, and HI agreed that marriage is defined as one man and one woman and homosexual "marriage" should be banned.
Matthew 19:4-6 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
