Jesus Comes to Us As We Are

DAILY STAND EMAIL

Some things in life are just part of “life”. Some people are tall, skinny, bald, fat, short; and the list goes on.  We are broken people, living in imperfect bodies. It is just part of life. We will always want to be something different, or be better looking or have more hair (look at my  picture).  LOL.  Human nature will always call us to want more.

My question is, Do you want to come closer in your relationship with God?  Have you drifted away from Him? Are you running from Him? Do you not believe in Him?

Whether you are a non-believer or a follower of Christ, you can come into a closer relationship with our Creator.

Non-believers, how is your unbelief in God possible?  You would not even be in this world without the miracle of God's creation. This world, the universe, everything is not possible without Someone, a Creator, bringing it all into existence. I'm not going deep here, but even the amazing atom had to have a beginning. The point is, a non-believer should just look around, this universe, world, or even your very existence. This all didn't just happen.  Open your eyes and your hearts to God. He loves you and wants you to come into His Kingdom. He will never give up on you, but will never force Himself on you, it is your decision. I pray that you will choose wisely, not by human understanding but by heart-felt, faith.

Followers of Christ, even if you have been a Christian for many years or a brand new “wet-behind the  ears” newbie, everyday is a day for growth in the love of Jesus and in His teachings. When you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, it is only the beginning of a lifelong change.  It's a never-ending growth in understanding and discipleship. As you grow, you should help others grow. As others grow, they should help you grow.  Just because you have said the “right” words and have been baptized, is not the end, it is only the beginning. At this point, is where we open up to Jesus and His teachings and begin learning what it means to pick up our cross and follow Him.  In other words it is only the beginning of a godly life. But we must pursue Him, follow Him and walk with Him daily, if not even by the minute and hour. It is life changing, inside and out.

For those that just want to get their life right before they make a commitment to Christ, getting your life right will not happen without Jesus. You will never get to that point of “getting right” without the power of Christ in your life.  You see, Jesus comes to us, as we are, but He loves us too much to leave us as we are. Jesus is a Life Changer. When we let Him have control, turn our lives over to His amazing and capable hands, our lives begin to change. Some change is rapid, some is slow but change comes as we love, trust, have faith and believe in Him. If you want to change, it begins with Jesus and ends with Jesus. He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.  Isn't it time that you quit playing games with God? Isn't it time that you stop using the excuse that “when I get my life right, I will come to Jesus?  Jesus Christ is waiting patiently for you to come to Him. He has pursued you, and opened His arms for you to come to Him, but He will not force His love, mercy and grace on you, you must accept the gift of salvation and come to Him.  Again, your choice. But remember, your choice has eternal consequences.  Get off that fence. You are either with Him or against Him (Matthew 12:30).

May God of all creation bless each of you today. May the power of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, bless you today. Amen.

Here are a few verses of God's Holy Word that I would like to share with you. They are used and quoted many times, but take the time to read them in the presence of the Holy Spirit and ask Him to show you a deeper meaning to these blessed words.

Genesis 1:1-2 (NLT)
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  2 The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.
John 3:16 (NLT)
16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
John 14:6  (NLT)
6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
1 John 1:1-4 (NLT)
1 We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life. 2 This one who is life itself was revealed to us, and we have seen him. And now we testify and proclaim to you that he is the one who is eternal life. He was with the Father, and then he was revealed to us. 3 We proclaim to you what we ourselves have actually seen and heard so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4 We are writing these things so that you may fully share our joy.
