MONDAY

He Was Human and He Was God

For God chose to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us (1 Thessalonians 5:9 NLT).

Remember, God could have come to us in many ways, but He chose to come as a baby, born of a virgin, in a stable rather than a palace. God came not to condemn the world but to save the world.

Thank You Father for coming to save Your lost sheep. In Jesus' name, amen.

TUESDAY

Our Amazing God

Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor you. With all my heart I will praise you, O Lord my God. I will give glory to your name forever (Psalm 86:11-12 NLT).

We serve an amazing God, but more than that, a God who loves us. He has mercy on us and gives us second chances through His grace. I am so thankful that He is a God of second chances; a God who sent Jesus to our world so that we might have a Savior; a God who loves us more than we can ever understand.

We serve a God who is God of all creation, and He loves us. We also serve a just God who can not be in the presence of evil and sin. He has a plan of salvation for each of us, it's our choice on whether we choose Him or sin. We can't serve both our sinful nature and Him. God doesn't wish to condemn anyone to eternal separation, but He gives us the choice. We have the freedom to choose life or death.

I pray that each of you choose God and His will, not the frills of this broken world. Our time, on this earth, is short. Our decision will determine our eternity. Choose wisely.

Praise be to You, Father God, for Your love, mercy and grace. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

WEDNESDAY

Lead Us Lord

Lead me in the right path, O Lord, or my enemies will conquer me. Make your way plain for me to follow (Psalms 5:8 NLT).

Father God, hold us in your arms. Protect us from the troubles of this world. Shield us from Satan's attacks and lies. Direct us in the right direction; Your way not ours. Make clear Your way, because we often follow the wrong road. We trust in You, Lord. You will never fail us, even though we fail you daily. Forgive our ineptness and save us from ourselves. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

THURSDAY

Wise Living

Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity (Colossians 4:5 NLT).

Are we doing this? Are we living a Christ honoring life, in full view of those who don't have a relationship with Him?
Are we living in this world and not being drawn into being of this world? It's very easy to be drawn from God's light into the darkness. We must put on God's armor each and every day. (read: Eph. 6:10-17)

Being a follower of Christ means picking up our cross and following His calling in our lives. Many times that is not what we have envisioned for ourselves. Many times it is not what we really want to do, because it is out of our comfort zone. Jesus has a way pushing us, sometimes far beyond our area of comfort.

God, your will; nothing more; nothing less; nothing else. Amen.

FRIDAY

He Lives with Us

So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son (John 1:14 NLT).

Immanuel, God is with us. Yes, He is here with us everyday. I'm so thankful for His presence in my life, how about you? He Lives! Immanuel!

Dear Father God, thank You for sending Jesus to this lost and dying world. Through Him, we may find an eternity in Heaven with You. I praise Your Holy Name. Amen.

SATURDAY

Are You Weary?

“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest”  (Matthew 11:28 NLT).

Lay your burdens at the foot of the Cross. Let Jesus pick up your troubles. He is capable. All you need to do is let Him do what He does best, that is love you and carry you when you can't take another step.

Dear Lord, pick us up off the ground and carry us to the finish line. Amen.

SUNDAY

Look Upward, Toward the Mountain Top

For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow (James 1:3 NLT).

We all go through our valleys in life. We have many trials and tribulations as we walk through this world. It's a part of our broken nature. Stuff will happen. We also must know that this "stuff" even happens to the strongest Christian people that we know. Being a follower of Christ doesn't make us bullet proof and ten feet tall. Satan hates a Christian and especially one that is truly following God's will. That is why it's so very important to regularly read Ephesians 6:10-18. These verses instruct us on fighting the spiritual battle that rages around us. Be vigilant in prayer.

Be cheerful, brothers and sisters, as we fight the battles of life. God has already won the victory for us through His Son and all we need to do is walk each day with our Lord, Jesus Christ. Claim that victory! Take one step at a time by the grace of our God.

I praise Jesus, our King and our Savior. Amen.
