American Family Radio to Launch ‘Janet Mefferd Live’ on Monday, Aug. 15
TUPELO, Miss.—American Family Radio (AFR, www.afr.net), a division of American Family Association (AFA, www.afa.net), announced today that it will launch “Janet Mefferd Live,” a one-hour daily Christian talk show covering news, cultural and biblical issues, on Monday, Aug. 15.
“Janet Mefferd Live” will air on the AFR network from noon to 1 p.m. CT weekdays. A former news and religion reporter and editor for newspapers including The Dallas Morning News and the Daily Herald, Mefferd has more than 25 years of experience in Christian media.
“I am so honored to be able to join the great AFR team with ‘Janet Mefferd Live,’” Mefferd said. “I have the utmost respect for AFR and its unwavering commitment to biblical truth in the face of a culture that is increasingly hostile to Christianity.”

“Janet Mefferd Live” will air on 177 AFR stations in 33 states. Mefferd also hosts the nationally syndicated Christian talk show “Janet Mefferd Today,” which began airing on weekends on AFR this past Saturday, Aug. 6.
